Introduction

We are very proud to release salt (SLUB ALlocator Tracer for the Linux kernel)! In a nutshell salt analyzes and traces the state of the SLUB allocator, and can serve as a solid tool to ease exploit development or even debugging kernel code. Along with salt we also release a kernel module that can trigger allocations and deallocations at will, thus giving a playground to aspiring kernel pwners.
